On June 20, at the invitation of the Life and Health Intelligent Research Institute, Prof. Xiaodong Chen from Nanyang Technological University visited the Institute and gave an academic report entitled "Comformal Sense Digitalization". Prof. Tie Wang, Assistant President of Tianjin University of Technology and Dean of the Life and Health Intelligent Research Institute of Tianjin University of Technology, presided over the lecture.

Before the meeting, Prof. Tie Wang expressed a warm welcome to Prof. Xiaodong Chen on behalf of all the faculty and students of the Institute, and expressed his expectation that Prof. Chen would pay more attention to the development of the Institute and give more guidance and help in the future.

In the report, Prof. Chen first gave a short introduction to the ACS Nano journal and encouraged everyone to actively submit manuscripts.Then Prof. Chen introduced in detail the research content about the common digital sensing from the perspective of the progress and development of computers, the manufacturing of flexible sensor devices and system integration, and introduced the research results of artificial skin electrical signal processing and bionic plant electrical signal processing by means of video demonstration.He pointed out that to do scientific research, we should be able to perceive the world and the future, and that interdisciplinarity is the most effective way to improve the efficiency of scientific research, and we should devote ourselves to finding unique insights between disciplines and experimenting with the integration between disciplines.

During the interactive session, students and teachers actively asked questions to Prof. Chen, who gave detailed and patient answers to questions on materials, electrical signals, and bionic technology.At the end of the report, Prof. Chen encouraged the faculty and students of the Institute to face challenges, choose groundbreaking research directions, insist on arming themselves with information in the field, and keep making new progress and tackling new breakthroughs.

After the presentation, the students and teachers on the site expressed that they benefited greatly from Professor Chen's explanation, which further clarified the work ideas and scientific research directions and helped to inspire the output of more high-quality and influential scientific research results.
